Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Reduction in Fees Announced – Expected in April 2022

Anticipating an increase in the number of checks requested by employers over the coming years, the DBS has recently undertaken a DBS Fee review.  We are delighted to share news that the UK Government has announced plans to reduce the fees for all DBS Criminal Record Checks.

The prices for both Basic and Standard levels are being reduced by more than 20%, and there will also be a small 5% reduction in the fee for Enhanced level DBS checks.

Subject to being approved by UK Parliament on 16th March 2022 the new Government fees will apply for all DBS applications submitted from 6th April 2022.

Standard and Enhanced Volunteer applications will remain free of DBS Fee charge. There will be no changes to the DBS Update Service or Adult First checks.

First Advantage is very pleased to be able to pass on these savings to our Customers. Revised pricing will automatically be applied to accounts from the effective date.
