Proposed Bill Would Delay ACA Employer Penalties

Tax Alert

July 25, 2018

A Bill, H.R. 4616, was recently introduced in Congress and is currently awaiting vote. The Bill proposes amendments to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), which would delay the implementation of employer mandate penalties until 2019. While this would not impact future ACA compliance or business decisions, it would provide temporary relief for employers facing current ACA non-compliance tax penalties and excise taxes.
