Federal Aviation Administration Issues Notice of Enforcement Discretion for Random Drug and Alcohol Testing 2020

The FAA’s Drug Abatement Division published a notice to their web site titled “Notice of Enforcement Discretion for Random Drug and Alcohol Testing 2020”  on Friday, November 6th. This notice describes how the FAA will exercise its enforcement discretion regarding circumstances in which aviation employers are unable to meet the required minimum drug and alcohol testing rates during calendar year 2020 due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
