Why do I need employee background screening?

When sporting organisations recruit new staff or volunteers, all reasonable steps must be taken to ensure unsuitable people are prevented from working with children and vulnerable adults.

As part of some national sporting government bodies’ (NGBs) safeguarding strategies, they require those working in eligible roles with children and young people to pass a disclosure and barring (DBS) check.
