51% Indicate Needed Individualized Assessment Process Improvement

A December 2015 First Advantage survey found that clearly, HR managers are not feeling overly confident about their individualized assessment process. You may recall that in 2012 the EEOC provided recommendations to complete an individualized assessment when criminal records are returned for job applicants. But how do companies on average execute this process?  Here are a few lessons learned. 
 

  • 40% are worried about how this process and its results are communicated within HR and between departments.
  • 27% still have not written a policy to manage the process.
  • 65% have multiple people involved in the review vs. 35% who have only one person manage.
  • 71% follow the individualized assessment worldwide—even though this is a U.S.-based requirement.
