Manager – ISO and Internal Controls, |
Background Screening Group |
|
“I am the manager of the ISO and Internal Controls Department, a part of [the Background Services Group]. My job mainly consists of assisting our companies in becoming certified and to remain certified to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. Some of my tasks include auditing processes, maintaining documentation, and training associates in ISO.
I have worked for this company for over six years, starting in the Criminal Processing Department performing data entry. I then created the Internal Auditing Program whereby we provided feedback to associates who performed daily tasks. The next move came about when the Quality Management Department was created and we started the ISO certification process. After becoming certified to the ISO Standard, it was determined that the ISO Department would be moved to the Compliance area of the company.
My career journey has been a very rewarding one. I get the opportunity to work with a lot of interesting and dedicated people. I have learned a great deal from my managers and supervisors along the way and intend to learn more. My new job consists of traveling to other locations of our company. This has afforded me the opportunity to see new and exciting places, and to work with more great associates.
The staff at First Advantage encourage associates every chance they get. They promote growth in associate’s careers and in their personal lives. It has been my honor to work with some of the best. My mentors have made my upward movement in the company possible.
When referencing the growth of the company, [our CEO] once promised the associates of First Advantage a rocket ride; he has lived up to that promise! I find my job appropriately challenging, adventurous and rewarding.”

Technical Writer, |
First Advantage CREDCO |
|
“I am a Technical Writer for the Process Support Services group [of First Advantage CREDCO] that assists the business community in translating business requirements into actual development application builds.
My work involves designing and writing documentation that explains the features and benefits of business initiatives. In addition, I create online help and interactive animated tutorials that show the procedures involved in using an application’s user interface.
I appreciate the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people on each project. For example, I work with process support managers, developers, business analysts, product managers and project managers on each project. Since each application is different and affects a different business unit, I am constantly learning new information about different departments within the company such as billing and account setup.
One of the best qualities of working at First Advantage CREDCO is the team spirit that exists within each project group. Our employees are friendly, dedicated, hard-working and communicate well with one another. This attitude of cooperation enables the team to meet their project deadlines on time or ahead of schedule.
The work environment is fun and casual. There are several social and team building activities during the year including sporting activities, such as basketball.
In short, First Advantage CREDCO is a rewarding place to work.”

Manager - Document Services |
Occupational Health Group |
|
“I’ve been with the Occupational Health Group since August 2004. When I first started, Document Services was the number one complaint area by internal and external clients. We were unable to measure productivity and we were always working to catch up. To improve our productivity, we implemented the pilot study for the introduction of “Lean Process” to the organization. The benefit of “Lean” in our overall efficiency and the value that was transferred to the client was tremendous. In a very short time our team achieved quite a bit.
Our team also pioneered the 24-hour continuous data entry operation, initiated various process improvements and significantly reduced turnaround time. In addition, the team developed effective metrics to monitor our daily and hourly production levels.
The Document Services team has also been involved in several community projects. Last year in 2005, the team put resources together and made a donation as a team to First Advantage’s fundraising efforts for Katrina victims. Along with this, we rolled out a toy drive for a children’s hospital in Washington, DC. The team continues to be the “best that they can” and has always adopted the “we’ll adjust” attitude!
Currently, the team consists of three full-time employees in Colorado, 10 in Bangalore, 20 in Maryland. Although my team works under different time zones, locations and areas of concentration – they all work in unison under one common goal and that is to provide the best service to our clients.
I am very honored to lead a group of bright, committed and hard working individuals who come to work everyday to make a difference in our organization. My team, the OHG Document Services group, is truly a “GROUP STAR” within First Advantage.”

Locations Support, |
Tax Consulting Services |
|
“I started with First Advantage in October 2004 with a temporary agency and was hired to clean up addresses for the Locations Department. I was hired full time in February 2005 and recently celebrated my one year anniversary. I really like my job.
I am a Locations Support teammate and enjoy coming to work each and every morning. I have a very understanding manager and … everyone here is very professional and friendly. We all try to respect each other’s work ethics. All of the managers are very pleasant and … you can feel free to go to anyone of them for answers or advice.
Another plus about this company is the flex hours. I can come in between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., work my eight hours, then go home.
This company has grown tremendously since I started and everyone has the potential to move up as jobs permit. I think you would be very happy with this company. I am 47 years old and have worked for numerous companies and can honestly say that First Advantage is the place to be if you want fair pay and the opportunity to advance.” |

Client Services/Business Development, |
Accufacts Pre-Employment Screening (recent acquisition) |
|
“Being a new member to the First Advantage family was a bit scary at first, but after a few weeks, I am realizing all of the great benefits the company has to offer its employees.
I work in Client Services for Accufacts – a recently acquired addition to the Background Services Group of First Advantage -- and enjoy all aspects of my job. I deal with our clients one-on-one and get to establish a rapport with a lot of great people.
I know that when I come to work every day I will be presented with new challenges and that I am also able to express new ideas that will actually be given consideration. I look forward to a long term employment with the company that will not only benefit the company, but me as well, and so far, First Advantage has shown me how that can happen.”
